Sofie Frost graduated from East 15 Acting School with an MA in acting and has since delved into the world of spoken word and slam poetry. She is the former Norwegian and Nordic champion and was the second runner up in the European slam poetry championship. At KHIO she has worked on the meeting point between spoken word and traditional theatre. For her masters performance she has mixed installation, theatre and spoken word in an attempt to find a way to convey the feeling of social exclusion.
About the performance
SPLASH - a comedy about suicide
Sofie was originally supposed to have two different performances, but due to a health issue the first performance "GONE" has been cancelled.
But don't dispear, the staged reading of her play "SPLASH" will run it's course at Dramatikkens Hus the 21st of May.
Director, Mine Nilay Yalcin, will workshop the play with five actors. In just four days they will tackle themes like suicide, gender identity, mental illness and trauma with lots of humor and tenderness.
